First Class delivery (First Class, Parcelforce or DHL Express)--UK (GBP)

VAT

All prices shown include VAT (except books, which are zero-rated for VAT purposes). When a zero-rated VAT item, such as a book, is ordered together with a fully rated VAT item, such as a video, VAT must also be charged on the total cost of postage and packing.

Any items (for example, DVDs or CDs) ordered from Amazon Jersey will be charged delivery charges, as indicated in the table below:

If an order contains both Amazon Jersey items and Amazon.co.uk items, VAT will only be charged on the shipping charges that relate to the Amazon.co.uk portion of the order.

Note: under EU VAT legislation certain Books items (such as audio books) are not eligible for zero-rated VAT, and in those cases the standard VAT rate will apply. Where this is the case, the Per Item rate will be 0.69 and the Per Delivery rate will be 2.54. See VAT Rates.

How will it be delivered?

All items destined for UK addresses are dispatched by First Class post, Parcelforce or DHL Express. It's not possible to choose exactly which carrier we use for your order. However, if the order qualifies, you can opt for free Super Saver Delivery.

How long will it take to arrive?

When you place an order, we'll estimate dispatch and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the delivery options you choose. Dispatch date estimates are shown in the order form. After placing your order, you'll be able to find dispatch and delivery date estimates in the order confirmation e-mail and in the order summary in Your Account.

Note: delivery times to British Forces Post Office (BFPO) addresses are dependent on BFPO schedules.

Remember to check availabilities carefully if you order more than one item, as you won't receive anything until all the items are available. In the case of pre-order or long availability items, it's recommended that you request separate deliveries as items become available (at extra postage cost) or you'll be waiting a long time to receive anything.

How do I get Super Saver Delivery?

If your order is eligible for free Super Saver Delivery, there's no delivery charge--your order is delivered free. But you must remember to select Super Saver Delivery as your delivery option when you place the order. Find out more about selecting Super Saver Delivery.

Books surcharge

If you order a hard-to-find book, your delivery may be subject to a surcharge of £1.99. If the item is subject to a surcharge it will be clearly stated on its product information page. To work out the full delivery cost of a book (with surcharge), add together the "per item" rate, the "per delivery" rate and the surcharge as follows:

Fixed delivery charge--Kitchen & Home and Electronics & Photo items

If you order certain larger items, your delivery may be subject to a fixed delivery charge instead of the delivery charges listed above. Where this is the case, the fixed delivery charge will be clearly stated on the product's information page.
